Panel Replacement

Panel replacement is becoming more popular because older systems were not designed for current load needs. In the 1960’s, a house may have only needed a 160 Amp service because it only powered lights, a refrigerator, stoves and water heaters; since then, additional items requiring power today include HVAC systems, pools, hot tubs, saunas, dishwashers, EV chargers, garage door openers, waterless water heaters, security systems, internet connections, and more. Now that common service is no less than 200 Amps and in most cases 320 or even 400 Amps, older homes must upgrade their panels if they want to be able to use their new toys.
